<p>Our 12D9N Holy Land Israel Tour will bring the Bible stories you have always known to life. Explore the ancient sites and the vibrant modern culture of Israel with memorable visits to Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem and more.</p>
<p>You will travel to <strong>Bethlehem</strong>, the birthplace of Jesus and see <strong>Church of Nativity</strong> and <strong>Shepherd's Field</strong>. Explore <strong>Qumran</strong> where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and see <strong>Beit She'an National Park</strong>, the archaeological site of the ancient Roman city which was one of the Decapolis cities in the early century. Spend quiet moments up at <strong>Mount of Beatitudes</strong> where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the mount and visit <strong>Capernaum</strong>, being one of the three key cities of Jesus ministry.</p>
<p>Take a boat ride to experience the <strong>Sea of Galilee</strong> which is the same lake that Jesus walked on. Visit <strong>Tel-Meggido</strong>, a fortress city mentioned in the Old Testament to see the excavation of the city ruins, and also the ancient port - <strong>Caesarea Maritima</strong>, which was once an ancient Roman city and port built by King Herod.</p>
<p>Enjoy the panoramic view of the Old City at <strong>Mount of Olives</strong>, walk along <strong>Palm Sunday Path</strong>, see the <strong>Garden of Gethsemane</strong> with the ancient olive trees believed to date back to time of Christ. Visit the <strong>Western Wall</strong>, one of the holiest place of Judaism and see the Dome of the Rock located on <strong>Temple Mount</strong>. Walk through <strong>Via Dolorosa</strong> - the 14 stations and visit the <strong>Garden Tomb</strong>, where a holy communion service will be conducted by the Spiritual Director.</p>

<p>Rev Dr Danny Goh is the Pastor of The Bible Church, Singapore. Previously, he lectured at Singapore Bible College and TCA College and he majors in the counselling, family life and pastoral ministry. With his wealth of experience in teaching and preaching the Word, he will be able share biblical insights on the Word during the tour.</p>

<strong>Day 2 – Sun, 27 Dec</strong>
<strong>TEL AVIV/ BETHLEHEM</strong>
Arrive in Tel Aviv this morning to begin your tour. First visit picturesque <strong>Jaffa</strong> and see the <strong>House of Simon Tanner</strong> (Acts 9-10) and the beautiful Mediterranean coast before travelling to <strong>Bethlehem</strong>, the birthplace of Jesus and hometown of David. See <strong>Church of Nativity</strong>, one of the oldest surviving Christian churches in the world and visit the <strong>Shepherd’s Field</strong> associated with the scene where the Angel of the Lord visited the shepherds with the news of Jesus’ birth. <strong>Day 3 – Mon, 28 Dec</strong>
<strong>IN DEAD SEA</strong>

Drive down south towards the Dead Sea Region. See the <strong>Jordan River</strong>, the traditional baptismal site of Jesus. Next, explore <strong>Qumran*</strong> where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Visit<strong> En Gedi Nature Reserve*</strong> to see the beautiful oasis in the desert where David fled from Saul’s pursuit (1 Sam 23-24). You will also get to try floating at the Dead Sea (hotel beach). <em>(B/L/D)</em>

<strong>NAZARETH</strong>

This morning, drive to <strong>Beit She’an National Park*</strong> to see the archaeological sites of the ancient Roman city which was one of the Decapolis cities in the early century. After lunch, we visit <strong>Nazareth Village*</strong> which reconstructs and re-enacts the village life during Jesus time. Visit <strong>Church of Annunciation</strong>, a church believed to have been built over the place where Angel Gabriel announced the virgin birth to Mary (Luke 1:26-38). See the sunrise from<strong> Mount Precipice</strong> and enjoy the bird’s eye view of Nazareth city. Next visit <strong>Cana, the Wedding Church</strong> where Jesus performed his first miracle- turning water into wine. Drive on toward Tiberias and visit <strong>Magdala</strong>- a recently excavated early century village and then visit <strong>St Peter’s Primacy Church</strong>, which commemorates the Bible story on the reinstatement of Peter. <strong>Day 6 – Thu, 31 Dec</strong>
<strong>TIBERIAS</strong>
Today you will explore the town of Tiberias. Spend quiet moments up at <strong>Mount of Beatitudes</strong> (Mt 5:1-12) where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount and see the beautiful view of the<strong> Sea of Galilee</strong> from the hill top. Visit <strong>Capernaum</strong>, being one of the three key cities of Jesus ministry. Here, you will see the Synagogue where Jesus taught and the other remains of this town that became his adopted home. Take a boat ride to experience the <strong>Sea of Galilee</strong> which is the same lake that Jesus walked on. Visit<strong> Kursi</strong> (Mark 5:1-20) and explore this ancient village that is located on the opposite site of the town. End the day at the <strong>Olive Oil Factory</strong> to taste and shop for local Israeli products. <em>(B/L/D)</em>

In the afternoon, visit the ancient port – <strong>Caesarea Maritima*</strong> which was once an ancient Roman city and port built by King Herod to see the magnificent hippodrome and theatre by the Mediterranean Sea Coast. <strong>JERUSALEM</strong>
This morning, we will drive up to <strong>Mount of Olives</strong> to see the panoramic view of the Old City. Walk along <strong>Palm Sunday Path*</strong> to <strong>Dominus Felvit Church</strong> – the teardrop church that commemorates the weeping of the Lord when he observed Jerusalem. See the <strong>Garden of Gethsemane</strong> with the ancient olive trees believed to date back to the time of Christ. We will also visit the <strong>Upper Room</strong>, best known as the traditional site of the Last Supper and <strong>St Peter in Gallicantu Church</strong> built to commemorate the story of Peter’s denial of Christ. <em>(B/L/D)</em>

<strong>JERUSALEM</strong>
This morning visit <strong>Yad Vashem</strong>- the Holocaust museum. Learn of the tragic genocide of the Jews. Next, visit the Western Wall, one of the holiest place of Judaism today. Explore <strong>City of David*</strong> and take an adventurous walk through <strong>Hezekiah’s Tunnel (wet/dry)</strong> to the Pool of Siloam where Jesus cured a blind man with a mud mixture. Lastly, visit the <strong>Southern steps</strong> and explore the remains of the area that lead the south entrance of the Second Temple. <em>(B/L/D)</em>

<strong>JERUSALEM</strong>
See the Dome of the Rock located on<strong> Temple Mount,</strong> one of Jerusalem’s most recognisable landmarks. Visit <strong>Church of St Anne</strong> which has amazing acoustics as the structure of the church as designed for Gregorian chants and the <strong>Pool of Bethesda</strong> where the healing of the lame man took place (John 5). Take a walk to <strong>Ecce Homo</strong> arch, where Jesus was believed to be trailed by Pontius Pilate. Walk through <strong>Via Dolorosa*</strong> – the 14 stations and end at the <strong>Church of the Holy Sepulchre</strong>. Next, visit the <strong>Garden Tomb</strong>, another site believed to be the burial site of Christ. Spend a moment of reflection and the Spiritual Director will also conduct a holy communion service here. <em>(B/L/D)</em>

Visit the Israel Museum where you will see the <strong>Jerusalem Model</strong>, a miniature model of the Old Jerusalem city and envision how the city was like in the ancient days. Then, visit <strong>Shrine of the Book</strong> and see the replica of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Spend some time shopping at the <strong>Mahane Yehuda Market</strong> where you can purchase souvenirs and fresh produce like nuts and dried fruits. Experience the last supper meal at <strong>Yad Hashmona</strong> (TBC)- a messianic Jew community area.
